If I were an American citizen and were be voting for the president, my option would be Barack Obama. I would vote for him due to the Politico numbers, Barack Obama won the most popular vote, which was mostly due to the swing states he focused on. With Obama winning 62,154,025 popular votes to Romney’s 58,798,935 votes. Obama had approx. 3.3 million more popular votes then the former Massachusetts governor. Obama did a tremendous job on keeping these swing states.

He focused on two aspects within these swing states. The highest population swing states, and the working class. He worried about population because if he won the higher population swing states like Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada... his place would be set in the government. While trying to please the working class in these higher swing states. This working class was reliant on Obama due to his plans on helping the poorer classes in America. This made Obama to focus on more industrial places like Ohio and Pennsylvania due to being such a big supporter at helping out the auto industry. By helping these middle/working class people he was able to gain a majority vote. Which was proven to be a key aspect to him winning the election. Obama focused on the independent variables first, which was able to create a positive role on the elections to his favor. This made it able for Obama to set out and work on fixing and achieving the dependent variables so these middle/working class peoples would be satisfied with the goal put out to help there incomes.

  1. At the beginning of this election race I believed Obama was the best candidate for office. Recently I have changed my mind; in my politics class we had to debate on behalf of the Republicans and the Democrats. After completing my research to prepare for the debate I found that I preferred the republicans view on the issues as opposed to the democrats. Mitt Romney and the Republicans plan to fix the economy seems that it would be more effective than what Obama and the Democrats intend to do. That solely is why I would vote for Romney and the Republicans over Obama and the democrats.

  2. Agreed, I also subscribe to the left wing mentality. Additionally the leader of the US must be more socially conscious. Obama all the way!
