The issues that I have learned throughout this year prepare
me for the phycology and anthropology courses I will be taking in university in
the years to come. Learning about recent news helps me learn about how humans
work through problems in circumstances even if it ended badly it still shows
how everyone’s human and sometime create human mistakes.
The Art of World Issues

19. What is the most important skill that you’ve learned through your participation in this course, and how will you use it as you move on with your life?
The skill I found most useful throughout this year has helped me more
then just in this world issues course, the key to move forward in these academics was to ask questions. Asking questions about
everything is a great tool to keep you interested and expand your knowledge of
a topic. I find this tool helps me progress in weekly news, and philosophical
ideas of many political and inperational leaders. This is key to help you
understand another human because we have to remember the people we study are
people too with human emotions who generally ask the broad questions as you or
I would and by realizing this text is more then just text and questioning
someone policies or beliefs helps you develop a personal opinion based off
whoevers work.
What was the central theme for this course? Why? How does your choice relate to...(insert one issue as an example)...
This year of world issues was primarily based off of the
imperfection of human. Although we know this world is made and sustainable for
all of us. So basically equality, we always ask what the problem is and what we
can do to prevent this from happening in the future. This equality leads us to
asking questions why certain things happen. But although we look for this certain
peace and equality among us as the general human population, among us as humans
in this society this peace and equality is necessarily an illusory object. Thus
why this year was based off the imperfections of humans there is no real answer
to solve this inequality, which gives this topic the perfect example to base the
world issues course off of.

Blog Post 17: If you lived in America today, where would you be on the gun issue? Consider the 5th Amendment right to carry arms and discuss why you there should or should not be restrictions placed on gun ownership in America.
I believe the gun regulations are out of date, the fifth amendment
was to keep the civilians safe from the British troops, but now theres no
threat coming from Europe the gun law is seen as necessary to these people for
all the wrong reasons. When you buy a gun it is for protection or sporting
purposes, not to shoot innocent people, which is what gangs are doing. To make
this amendment more to date I would make it so it is harder for people with mental
illnesses and rap sheets. Not to segregate anyone but to keep the people safe
in America because this issue isn’t getting any better. At the current rate,
339,000 Americans will die by guns over the next 10 years. That is roughly
equivalent to the current population of Tampa, Florida. While the death tole
racks up so does the gun ownership which to me is showing a clear fault in gun
ownership regulations.
Blog Post 16:What are the factors that contribute to the 'creation' of a modern 'terrorist'? What can be done by human civilization to mitigate these factors?
Some factors that can contribute to a modern terrorist would be
the Internet and the right to believe in whatever religion you choose too.
First of this Religion wouldn’t be a problem if each of the religions stuck to
themselves and cared about each other’s well being and not the well being of
just there religion. Although I do believe in believing whatever you’d like
too, but when what you believe in effects someone else’s life negatively is
where I would draw the line. These religious view tie up with a modern day terrorists
because of backlashes that are shown all over the media which puts pictures
into peoples heads of how this world turn which isn’t always generally the good
idea, because when an extremist sees something he likes that causes destruction
generally means now he could go on the internet and speak his mind to other
extremist to aggravate them. Thus resulting in acts of terrorism that insight violence
or hatred to the government or one another.

Blog 15: Does religion, or religious principles/ethics/morals, have any place in government? Should government create laws based on these norms?
Due to religion being a series of fables with no way to prove whether God does or does not exist and many scientific errors in the bible, religion is a fall back to understand life when science could not at the time religion created. Thus I don't believe there is any place for religion in the government. Adding to my last point laws should not be created because of religion for the reasons I have stated and many other obvious ones.
Blog 14- Food Dumping
Food dumping is the disposal of unwanted organic matter like rotting food for example which is told as food support to developing countries like latin america, africa ex.. This "support" is causing the cycle of poverty to keep repeating itself. This is because of the food being rotten that when ingested it will most likely cause health problems, which could cause death and does cause sickness thus making another problem resulting in this cycle of poverty once again. Plus this "food support" makes local farmers loose business because of the poverty stricken people rather eat this free rotting food then buy from a local which results in that local farmer loosing his/her job, which stunt the economical progress in developing nations. There is no easy way to solve this problem because this food dumping helps stop this chronic hunger these people have but it also hurts the economy. A way to maybe solve this problem is feed some of this food waste to the animals which will create more live stock and ultimately more food for the hungry.
